Maybe it's just me....but I seem to only blog when the urge hits me. When I read blogs such as Joe Settler, Jerusalem Cop, The Muqata, etc., I get inspired. The obvious is that I just finished reading a few of my favorite blogs and am inspired.
First apologies to son number two who had his Bar Mitzvah this past Vayetze. Hey, you did a great job. Imma and I are proud of you. Yup, you should have made it on the blog right away. I still smile when I think of how great a job you did.
Second, to Imaof8 who may or may not read this, yes I do sleep at times. But only at times.
Third, as I write this I think of my neighbor who left today on a pilot trip to Israel. It's so fantastic watching her growth over the past several years. May HaShem help you, and your family, find the perfect place to live. Hopefully, it will be somewhere in the Shomron...or in the Galil...or some other beautiful place. In the meantime, don't worry, we will keep an eye on your husband and kids and make sure they get a nice Hamim for Shabbat.
Maybe Imaof8 is right, I need to move my family to Israel as well. I am sure my wife and kids would be excited at the prospect. My wife has been ready for years. Perhaps I should have her speak with Imaof8 to scheme on my behalf. Perhaps....
In the meantime, some sleep...

New Year all over again.....?
So here I am. It's a balmy rainy day in SoCal....yeah, I know it never rains in Southern California. But that's another story.
So what's the excitement for today? As if postings have to be exciting. Maybe a nice tiyul like Jameel at the Muqata. Or how about something exciting like trying to figure out if westbankmama is who I think she is? My excitement is trying to get thru Magadascar without falling asleep (not that it's boring...I just keep trying to watch it when I am half asleep), watching my new bluetooth headset charge up and just dying to try it out (Arggghhhh hurry up will ya), and wondering if I should start that Disaster Recovery project that was due this past Friday.
Gotta tell you the real excitement for us has been lighting our Hanukkiah each night. Day 7 and counting!
Hanukkah Sameach to all,
Uriel
